Weights

The weight assigned to a criterion is essentially a scaling factor that relates scores on that criterion to scores on all other criteria. If criterion A has a weight that is twice that of criterion B this should be interpreted that the decision maker values 10 value points on criterion A the same as 20 value points on criterion B and would be willing to trade one for the other.

By default V•I•S•A uses the Across Tree Weighting Mode and allows any weight to be set for any bottom level criterion. However other modes are available.
